This year I decided to make a bed runner for each of my nieces and nephews. Since my sister has 6 kids it was a big project and I wasn't sure I would finish before the holidays.
There are three girls so they each got a pastel colored bed runner. I used up every piece of pre-cut fabric I had in the house. This pink one was made with watercolor squares. I used grid interfacing to iron the squares and then sew in rows. This made the sewing go quickly.
This green/yellow quilt used larger pre-cut squares that were part of a set. I added a green solid to the ends to increase the size.
The purple runner used pre-cut 5 inch squares. I tried a pattern from a bed runner book which came out very nice.
I know my nieces are going to enjoy these. I added a label to each quilt with the girls name so they would know who was getting which quilt.
The boys got quilts with darker colors. This quilt is an I Spy quilt and is going to my youngest nephew. He will have a lot of fun looking for the hidden items such as a clock and strawberries.
This quilt was made from a panel which had houses on it. I just love this fabric and it really makes a nice pattern.
The last quilt was mad using pre-cut squares and triangle squares that were left over from another quilt. The boarder is clouds and stars which gives the quilt a nice definition.

Holiday Quilts
This adorable table runner is from a patter from All People Quilt. This site has great free patterns. I love the quant houses and the leaning tree. So festive and cute.
This table runner was a great chance to use up holiday scraps. It goes together quickly as it is just strips.
